Practice


Abel joins Chambers after completion of his pupillage with Mr Ambrose Ho, S.C., Mr. Andrew Mak, Mr. Giles Surman, Ms. Elaine Liu, and Mr. Julian Lam. In addition, he also served as judge’s marshal with the Honourable Mr. Justice Godfrey Lam, where he worked closely on the Competition Tribunal case CTEA 2/2017 (sanctions and costs). He is developing a broad civil and commercial practice.

Abel accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work, especially in competition law. He has been instructed in advisory and advocacy work covering areas such as probate, matrimonial, injunctions, building management and company, and has appeared (either led or as sole advocate) in all levels of court (including the Family Court and the Lands Tribunal) up to the Court of First Instance.

In addition, Abel has been appointed as part-time lecturer teaching Contract Law and Tort Law at the University of Hong Kong. Abel has also given a CPD seminar to Hong Kong solicitors on easements.
